A group of students from the Computer Science department at UET Lahore, New campus has won the Regional Winner title at ImagineCup 2023, a prestigious global competition by Microsoft aimed at empowering students to apply technology to address global challenges. The winning Final Year Project by Sardar Umair Tariq, Malik Naqeeb, and Abdullah Ashfaq, focused on “Sentiment Analysis and Cyberbullying Detection of Urdu Tweets”. This innovative project leverages advanced algorithms to identify and mitigate cyberbullying in Urdu language social media content, showcasing the potential of technology in creating safer online environments.
