Students at the department of Computer Science are involved in a number of clubs and societies. The ACM chapter is being run mainly by the students in the department.

ACM Student Chapter:

ACM’s Student chapters worldwide serve as hubs of activity for ACM members and the computing community and as a gateway to forums, panel discussions, and activities that further a student’s professional development. UET New Campus ACM Student Chapter offers seminars, lectures, and other opportunities for professional development.

ACM Chapter upper hierarchy induction usually happens in early Fall each year.  UET KSK students may nominate a fellow UET KSK student for any of the society positions listed below, self-nominations are also acceptable. Nomination forms are available from the CS department office. Nomination forms should include information why the nominee is suitable for the selected position. Applications are reviewed and screened based on the submitted information. Shortlisted candidates are contacted for interviews which are conducted by the Student Chapter’s Faculty Advisor.
