Introduction

The Department of Computer Science at the University of Engineering and Technology (UET) main campus is one of the most prominent and oldest center of computer education in the country. To meet the growing need of quality education for youth, UET established a branch of the department at the UET New Campus located in Kala Shah Kaku. The Department of Computer Science at the UET New Campus offers the undergraduate degree program in Data Science with an aim to train students in this domain.

Mission

To equip students with the skills and knowledge to excel in a software, applied computing, and data-driven ecosystem through a dynamic learn environment that integrates advanced techniques, technologies, and ethical practices.

Program Objectives (POs)

1. Graduates will acquire a deep understanding of data science methodologies, tools, and techniques, empowering them to analyze and solve complex real-world problems.

2. Graduates will be prepared to lead in the domain of data science for societal and economic progress, demonstrating the ability to translate data insights into impactful decisions that support the development and commercialization of technologies.

3. Graduates will apply data science ethically, adhere to regulations, and effectively communicate data-driven insights within multidisciplinary teams to benefit society and industry.
