The Department of Computer Science, UET Lahore (New Campus) organized an interactive seminar for Final Year Project (FYP) students to guide them through the Design Document phase of their projects.
The session was hosted by Ms. Hafiza Sana Afzal, Lecturer, Department of Computer Science, who actively engaged students throughout the seminar and explained the step-by-step process of preparing the Design Document.
Students were also briefed about the major types of FYP projects, including:
Development Projects
Research Projects
Hybrid Projects
Game-based Projects
Ms. Sana Afzal also discussed the use of UML Diagrams, explaining where each diagram is applied and demonstrating their practical usage.
This seminar was specially designed for students entering Phase 3 of their FYP journey. After completing their proposal phase, the next important milestone is preparing and submitting the Design Document, which forms the foundation of their implementation phase.
It was an insightful and engaging session that helped students better understand FYP structure, documentation, and project planning.
